SILVER BARKES ・ 2022 BALLET
Silver received most of her training with the Marin ballet in the SF Bay Area and San Francisco Ballet School. Joining State Street Ballet in year 2000 was a "stepping stone" to her career at Ballet West in Salt Lake City UT from 2004-2011as a Corp de Ballet member. In her years at Ballet West she was fortunate to work with the Balanchine trust and many esteemed Choreographers. As a Corps de Ballet member she did many soloist and demi soloist rolls over the years. She continues her work at Ballet West volunteering as a Ambassador of the Ballet and consultant for fund raising events.
Not only has she had a Ballet career she also is an accomplished Professional Makeup Artist, receiving her degree in 2012. Also this year she was a featured dancer on BBC hit reality series "Breaking Pointe". Silver is excited to share her knowledge and love of Ballet with "our" students.
