LAUREN CURLEY・ 2025 Adjudicator
Originally from Massachusetts, Lauren trained extensively in ballet, modern, jazz, musical theater, and contemporary dance. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Hartford's The Hartt School under the direction of Stephen Pier, where she majored in Dance Performance with a dual emphasis in ballet and modern. Upon graduating, she was offered a contract with Repertory Dance Theatre (UT) where she performed with works of world-renowned choreographers such as José Limón, Martha Graham, Zvi Gotheiner, Ishan Rustem, Lar Lubovich, and many others. After nine years of performing, Lauren accepted the position of Rehearsal Director for the company, where she oversaw the restaging of historical and contemporary works and worked extensively in K-12 schools across Utah. In addition to her work with Repertory Dance Theatre, Lauren was also an adjunct faculty member in the University of Utah's School of Dance and teaches for the Winner School's dance program. She is currently the Community Activation Manager for Salt Lake County's Arts and Culture Division, where she facilitates the implementation of free and low cost arts programs and events across Salt Lake County. Lauren is passionate about showing students that dance can lead to many different rewarding career paths, and is thrilled to join UDF as an adjudicator to help inspire and educate the next generation of dancers across the state of Utah!
