Jazz

Jazz dance and music developed in tandem; influenced by the merging of African and European American dance and music. Today jazz dance continues to broaden and be influenced by social dance styles and music. Specific jazz dance styles have emerged because of this evolution we have Musical Theatre, Jazz Funk, Contemporary Jazz, Lyrical, Afro Jazz, and the list could go on! Our Guest Artists are leaders in Utah and are accredited professionals that have danced and trained with leading modern or ballet companies, or have danced commercial and in the competitive dance circuit across the country. In our jazz classes students will hone in on their technique, musicality, and style in a friendly setting that cultivates growth.
